While you can change a lot of settings, TypeIt4Me is very straightforward to use. These sets can be synchronized via iCloud or another cloud service, should you wish to use them on multiple Macs or even the iOS app. You will need to create your own set(s) of abbreviations, depending on what you normally write. You can specify which apps the feature should be active in, and even set up different behaviors for each application. Once you type an abbreviation defined in the preferences, it will be replaced with a longer snippet as soon as you press Space, Tab, or any other configured trigger. The app's main function is fairly straightforward. You can create your own abbreviation dictionary, sync it, run Applescripts, and even use autocorrect to reduce typos. TypeIt4Me alleviates this issue by automatically substituting various abbreviations for longer words or phrases, saving you the trouble of typing them fully. There are many common words or phrases made up of a lot of letters and/or symbols that need to be written on a regular basis, and typing them out every time can slow you down considerably.
